If You Go Bald, as Many Men Do, Then You Need to Take Some Action

Male baldness is not a foregone conclusion for any man. Rather, it is a matter of genetics. Some people have certain genes which make them susceptible to going bald while others don’t. Some men are “sexy bald” (think: Bruce Willis). Others, not so much (think: Jeff Bezos). But the most important thing is for you to be comfortable with your hair – or the lack of it.Take positive action if you go bald

Now it is true that many men who suffer male baldness just regard it as “one of those things”, shrug their shoulders, and get on with life. However, for others, being bald can be very depressing, making a man feel old before his time. And that is not a good way to live.

So, if you fall into the latter group, then you need to take some action. And in this case that can mean a hair transplant. Modern hair restoration can often “cure” male baldness.

Now, you should know that every man is different. Every man is an individual, both in the way that you may feel about baldness and the treatment for it. A hair transplant can make an amazing amount of difference to your life. At Silicon Valley Hair Institute, located in Foster City, and convenient to San Mateo, Hayward, and even Pleasanton, California, our Dr Miguel Canales is an expert in hair restoration and is one of the foremost experts on the subject in the world.

A Hair Transplant Carried Out by a Robot!

Not only is he a skilled manual hair transplant surgeon of many years standing, but he also led the team that invented the ARTAS robot for hair transplants. Yes, if you were not aware, you can now have a hair transplant carried out by a robot!

An FUT transplant (Follicular Unit Transplant) is carried out manually by the surgeon and involves removing a strip of hair from the back of the head which is then cut into units of between one and four hairs which are transplanted into the recipient area.

The ARTAS robot, however, uses FUE – Follicular Unit Extraction – and it does this by selecting individual follicular units of hair from different points on the head and then transplanting them. There are several benefits to this type of transplant because, apart from anything else, it leaves no visible scarring whatsoever. The robot will also transplant the units at exactly the same height direction, and angle, of any other hairs in the recipient area, which gives the most aesthetic appearance.

There are other benefits too, such as no down time. For further information and to get answers to your questions, book a free (yes, free!) appointment for a consultation with Dr Canales.
