There is a New Hair Transplant Center in Palo Alto and It’s Taking the City by Storm

If you are looking for Palo Alto hair loss clinics you should check out the new one that has just opened at 3000 El Camino Real. It is called Silicon Valley Hair Institute and it is run by Dr Miguel Canales who has had a clinic in Foster City for many years and is now serving the good people of Palo Alto too.The new Palo Alto hair transplant center.

Dr Canales uses the ARTAS robotic system of hair transplantation which has very many advantages over a manual hair transplant. He knows the ARTAS robot better than anyone else, because for ten years he was the Medical Director of Restoration Robotics Inc., and he led the team that invented it! His name is on 11 patents concerning the ARTAS system, so you could not have a better surgeon for your hair transplant than Dr Canales. Indeed, he has trained other surgeons around the world in the use of the robot. This is why Silicon Valley Hair Institute is now the best of the Palo Alto hair loss clinics.

No Permanent Scar from ARTAS

One of the big advantages of the ARTAS robot is that it leaves no visible scar. When you have a manual transplant, the surgeon removes a strip of hair from the back of your head which he then divides up into follicular units of up to four hairs and transplants them into the recipient site. When the wound at the back of your head has healed, it leaves a permanent scar. However, the ARTAS robot harvests follicular units of up to four hairs and leaves a tiny pin prick which is invisible.

The robot then inserts the hair in the recipient area and does so making the hair exactly match the direction, elevation, and angle of any existing hair in the area. Furthermore, it detects the existing hair and inserts the follicular unit next to it without causing it any damage, so there is far less chance of losing that hair through shock loss.

A big advantage of the robotic procedure is that there is much less pain and discomfort than a manual transplant, and furthermore, you can go back and play your favourite sport the next day if you wish. Of course, another advantage of the ARTAS procedure is that it totally eliminates the human error due to fatigue and the variability of hand/eye co-ordination. The robot is extremely accurate, and it doesn’t get tired.
