Dr. Canales was the leader of the team that invented the ARTAS robotic method of hair transplantation, and it has so many advantages over a manual transplant. When you have a manual hair transplant a strip of hair is removed from the back of your head. Unfortunately, this leaves a scar, and that means that you cannot wear your hair short because it will show.
The ARTAS robot on the other hand doesn’t do that. It selects groups of up to four hairs, or follicles, and transplants them into the recipient area right next to any existing hairs without causing them any damage. These are transplanted at exactly the same angle, height, and direction as the existing hairs which provides a much more natural finished look than a manual transplant.
