Looking Young Might Be Easier Than Ever

Looking Young Might Be Easier Than Ever

We dig up some old photos from decades past and ask ourselves where the time went. You see your younger self in summer shorts, a beautiful tan, the glow of youth, and fantastic hair.before and after hair transplant photos for a women patient

You might sigh and think how wonderful you looked “way back when.” Of course, when we were younger, most of us were also dealing with insecurities. Maybe we felt weird about being too tall or didn’t like our noses. We may need to figure out what direction and career to pursue. And as “free and easy” as life could be, most of us were broke, too.

It’s a double-edged sword: age vs. youth. What if there were a way to mix the two? But Mother Nature doesn’t work that way. Luckily, today’s incredible technology can help many of us achieve some middle ground by getting back to thick, youthful hair. Aging is different today. For instance, after years of hearing and applying the benefits of sunscreen, people in their 50s and beyond have found they can slow down the wrinkled, sun-damaged look of older skin. And if a Bay Area resident is dissatisfied with thinner, receding hair, there are solutions for hair loss, today, too!

Before and after hair transplant photos reveal who you can be again

Hair transplants have evolved over the decades, too. Today’s innovative surgical techniques and tools have helped diminish the telltale signs of a hair transplant. Innovative surgeons no longer use the “strip method” of removing a full strip of hair from the back of someone’s head and meticulously hand-picking the best hair follicles. Instead, they use computers with the ARTAS robot to carefully choose hair follicles all over someone’s head. This results in no noticeable “strip scar” that needs to be hidden for life. Another new improvement is the ARTAS robot works for men and women. Because many women suffer from thinning hair. In the past, female hair transplantation was rare because, much of the time, a woman’s hair can thin differently from men. Their problem may not be genetic. Female hair loss can occur due to hormone imbalances, illness, and inflammation. There are three natural stages to hair growth and shedding which include:

  1. Anagen Stage: Hair is grown, lasting from two to eight years.
  2. Catagen Stage: Hair has finished growing. This can be as long as three weeks.
  3. Telogen Stage: The hair sheds. After this, the hair follicle can remain dormant for up to three months. Then, the cycle begins all over again.

If hair remains dormant and there’s more “shedding” than “growing,” it may be time to consider visiting our clinic and reviewing before-and-after hair transplant photos. Here’s some in-depth reading. Harvard Health Publishing posted a blog explaining why women’s hair loss happens. Today’s hair rejuvenation options, including robotic hair transplant surgery, can help women and men achieve a balanced appearance.
